Technology with a soul – From Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0

The rise of the 4.0 paradigm has led to a radical digital transformation of companies that increasingly produces a change in business processes, organizational forms, quality of work and working conditions. The digital revolution certainly contains an extraordinary potential for human progress and offers numerous opportunities.This PhD thesis aims to analyze how the human-centric approach puts core human needs and interests at the heart of the production process, shifting from technology-driven progress to a thoroughly human-centric and society-centric approach.
