Local and national perspectives on LTC economics

The challenges posed by technological innovations in the health and social care economics are a real test for today’s economic systems. This research aims to dig into the socio-economic landscape for the elderly in Italy and the Emilia Romagna region. The shortage of available resources is a big hurdle for providing social and healthcare services. When there are not enough services around, it is tough to offer quality social care, which means less access and lower-quality care for those who need it. With the country’s population aging, there is going to be a bigger demand for social care, raising concerns about making sure there is enough good-quality care to meet that demand. Understanding these markets’ trends and finding effective policies are crucial for future reforms and figuring out where to best invest efforts and resources among those already approved.
